Where Himalayan elegance meets Australian jade

Gold Medal Winner - Zhen Ping Jade Festival Hua Yu Cup 2025

A collaborative masterpiece by three acclaimed artists from Zhenping, this piece reimagines the most elegant Himalayan Avalokiteshvara (Guanzizai) sculptures of Nepal and Tibet with contemporary refinement. Carved from premium Australian black-green nephrite jade, the figure’s posture is graceful, serene, and dignified, with each detail echoing centuries of Buddhist artistic tradition.

The slender body, poised gesture, and flowing robes are meticulously hand-carved, while the surrounding aureole and lotus base are richly enhanced with traditional metal techniques—gold painting, gemstone inlays, and a fully gilded bronze pedestal. This fusion of materials and cultures creates a radiant sense of divine elegance.

This artwork honors both the timeless spiritual symbolism of Guanyin and the modern craftsmanship that Australian jade inspires in today’s finest Chinese carvers.

Estimated price for this piece AUD$42,550 (RMB¥200,000)
