Artist: Liang Juntao
Perched gracefully atop a rugged, natural jade boulder, two finely carved birds rest in tranquil companionship. The sculptor captures not only anatomical precision but emotional serenity — a moment of stillness between two sentient beings. The contrast between the birds' delicate polish and the raw mountain texture of the stone creates a visual metaphor: harmony between liveliness and calm, between the animate and the unyielding.
More than a decorative piece, this artwork reflects a philosophy of life — one rooted in balance, coexistence, and natural grace. The imagery of birds sharing a perch also evokes familial harmony, peaceful neighborhoods, and the simple, enduring joys of companionship. With jade sourced from Australia's Cowell Jade Province, this piece is a true testament to cross-cultural artistry and timeless symbolism.
